If you are looking for a nice pub lunch or relaxing evening meal, then the good traditional home cooked food, served by the The Ibex is a must. The Ibex has a large Conservatory Dining Area and a smaller restaurant area plus an additional room available for Private Dining. The Ibex not only boasts good pub food, but its a real community pub. This was recognised last year as the pub was awarded Community Pub of the Year South East Regional Winner in The Great British Pub of the Year Awards (see below for more details) and West Berks CAMRA Community Pub of the Year 2009. The facilities offered by the pub, include 2 bars, a meeting room with wireless internet (Wi-Fi Hotspot), etc, plus a large beautifully kept garden which can host BBQs, informal receptions, Hog Roasts and Weddings. The Morning Advertiser is the Pub Industries leading magazine and is highly regarded. We were also commended for the 2010 South East Community Pub. On the Events page of our website we have listed the forthcoming Chaddleworth Cricket Club Fixtures for Summer 2010. Anyone wishing to support their local team is more than welcome. Another date for your diary is the Ibex Summer Ale & Cider Festival sponsored by Sharps Beer from Cornwall. This is to be held at the pub between 22nd - 29th August 2010. We also plan to have another Classic Car Rally later this year as well as live Jazz, these dates will be confirmed later. Jazz will come from Brian Throup and The Dodgy Jammers. We are still looking out for more Dart Teams, so if you want to a new venue for your team to play at or you'd like to start a new team then please give us a call. Shortly we'll be making available a range of board games and a selection of books for all our customers. If you want to donate either then please contact Julia. The Awards just keep on coming - Cask Marque Award for The Ibex Inn The Ibex has been rewarded for it's excellent beer quality by being presented with Cask Marque Accreditation. This industry renowned award is clear recognition of the quality and the standards of all cask ales served at the pub. Pubs that join the scheme will be visited unannounced by an independent assessor twice a year. In the first year they will be visited twice in the first three months and in subsequent years they will be visited once in the Summer and once in the Winter.  The assessor will check all cask ales on sale for - temperature, appearance, aroma and taste.
